“What do I most need to know this month?”
(From Dick Sutphen’s “The Oracle Within.”)
“There are profit and loss, slander and honor, praise and abuse, suffering and pleasure in this world; the Enlightened One is not controlled by these external things; they will cease as quickly as they come.”
Meditate on how this story relates to your question and the way you avoid situations rather than deal with them.
This February, it is very important to know that whatever upheaval is being encountered is part of life, and needs to be faced so that you may grow. Wherever you go, whatever you do, you will come across difficult people and situations. My sense is that you will start speaking and living your truth like never before and this is going to disturb those around you as well as those at a distance (i.e. via the internet, if you have an online presence and are using it to make a positive difference in the world).
I have experienced this many times in my life and I can say that it doesn’t necessarily get any easier. Since I am here to bring awareness to many disturbing – and yes, I will use the word that is forbidden in most New Age circles “evil” – acts, this brings about very scathing criticism and quite often, alienation, too. What keeps me going is the fact that I can live with myself knowing that I have done the best that I can to help others – this also brings great peace. It’s not that people need to believe what I believe – it’s about living authentically. Sometimes this means unveiling some very unpleasant truths…this is what most find unsettling or frightening, and so, the attacks begin…
The following quotes have provided some inspiration for me over the years – I hope they help you, too.
“If everyone approves of what you are doing, I urge you to reconsider what you are doing.” ~ St. Germain
“There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing and be nothing.” ~ Aristotle
“To succeed in life, you must have the courage to be hated.” ~ The Alchemist
