I love this quote. It sums up my response to so many people over the years who cannot believe that I could do what I have done and that it actually all worked out for me in the end.
I was told that I had to forgive everyone that has ever wronged me otherwise I would never heal. I did the opposite and I healed.
I was told never to get angry because it was a toxic state of being that would make me ill. I raged when it was necessary and it made me physically and psychologically healthy.
I was told that I should abandon anything that would not bring me material rewards since we are living in a material world and I SHOULD be a material girl. I followed my heart and so do what I love to do regardless of whether or not this leads to any earthly gains.
I did the opposite of what I was told I HAD to do, and I saved myself in the process.
