Whosoever is delighted in solitude, is either a wild beast or a God. ~ Aristotle
I prefer to think of myself as a Goddess…but in all seriousness now…
Solitude is good for the Soul – ‘Sol‘ is the Latin term for ‘Sun’. The Sun represents the Soul in Western astrology – the Self/Ego.
Mark 6:31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Luke 5:16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
All of the biblical passages above are referring to Jesus (even Mark 6:31 – “he” is Jesus). Jesus never existed – his name is a poetic name for the Sun/Soul.
