Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:13-18 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Most people do not believe in, let alone comprehend, the spiritual, or non-physical aspect of life. So, if someone were to tell them that this is the place from where everything originates, it would seem delusional.
It has to do with energy (Light, photons) – this energy eventually becomes physical as it filters on down into the material realm. Words have everything to do with it: The Word Is God. This is because letters are the coding, or blueprint of life: the Language of Light (the Source of Life). This is why prayer is so important – you are casting positive spells with your words (after all, the word spell is the root of the word for spelling). Of course, the same can be done with negative intent, but this is not what is meant in this part of the Bible. Prayer can be used to ward off evil at every level of existence (I wrote about my experiences here).
In Ephesians 6:12 the phrase, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, is referring to the ways in which the evil ones who rule the Earthly realm misuse/invert spiritual (energetic, non-physical, hidden) forces in order to control people. This requires knowledge of astronomy/astrology, language and numerology, or Gematria (geometry in language). (Learn more here & here.)
