A few years ago, I wrote an article with the same title as this post. If you want to read it, go here.
In this article, I will focus on diaspora Hellenes – how some of us stay connected to our Heavenly Homeland via our livelihood, or purpose in life. Even though we may not speak the Mother Tongue the way they do in the Motherland, this does not have any bearing on our desire to stay close to our roots.
For me, it is the love of the language, the music, true Hellenic History/Mythology and the Bible. All of this is evident from my website.
For my brother, Christos, it is the love of Hellenic cuisine. He has a food truck – Greek on the Street – whereby he gets to be creative as a cook whilst remaining true to his heritage. It is his dream even though the entire immediate family is now part of it – we all work for him in some capacity. This has brought us closer together. It has also made us want to relocate to the Motherland. When and how this will happen is in the hands of the Gods.
As I have stated in so many articles over the last few years, major upheavals are happening – they are inevitable. For those of us that survive them, we need to know who it is that we can trust to help create the New World in the aftermath.
