The following are but a few of the tenets subscribed to by fanatical New Agers that they constantly contradict. I have yet to meet one that actually practices what they preach. Their motto: “Do as I say, not as I do.”
The good ol’ Law of Attraction – the funny thing about it is that those who subscribe to it, can ever, ever blame others for upsetting them. Why? Because it’s all about them. They created the situation. If people piss them off, offend their sensibilities and so on, it’s their fault. They manifested it all in order to find out who they really are – other people are mirroring their own stuff back to them. And yet, they constantly fling the mirroring thing at others whilst ignoring the same principle within themselves.
”Blanket Forgiveness: I forgive everyone.”
In order to forgive in the way that New Agers, and many others, believe, they must very quickly abandon any animosity, or anger that they harbor toward anyone else. If they are truly ‘evolved’, they will not feel these things from the get-go. But instead, what do they do? They harass anyone who does not see things the way they do, offends them, etc., yet, claim that they are ‘forgiving’ beings.
When those at the receiving end of their attacks retaliate, they will feign innocence, or play the victim. (“I didn’t do anything. I was just sitting here minding my own business, being all spiritual and such.” – NOT.) After this “poor me” song and dance act, they will proceed to contradict their philosophy of blanket forgiveness by continuing to pounce on those who were defending themselves against their attacks to begin with…’round and ‘round they go with their hypocrisy – it never ends.
”We Are One.”
Oneness is a sham designed to make people believe that they are wanted, loved and included when it is really about conformity: Oneness = Sameness. Even though individuality is supposedly revered, it is quickly shut down when individuals do not subscribe to the tenets of New Ageism. Instead of admitting that they cannot adhere to their philosophy because of the existence of independent, critical thinkers, or those that have different beliefs, they will denigrate those that do not conform. As they do this, they fail to practice blanket forgiveness. They also fail to look within in order to see what it is about those they attack that is being mirrored back to them.
Hypocrisy And New Ageism – Two Sides Of The Same Coin.
