Recently, I came across the phrase, “speaking truth to power“: I decided to do some research on it because I had never heard it before. It involves speaking the truth to (confronting) authorities about injustices, lies, and so on.
This concept is derived from the Hellenic (Greek) word “parrhesia” παρρησία which means freedom of speech (freedom, openness, boldness, confidence). It is used several times in the Bible – Strong’s concordance lists all of the mentions. I will list some of these below:
Mark 8:32 And He spake that saying openly. And Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him.
GRK: καὶ παρρησίᾳ τὸν λόγον
KJV: he spake that saying openly
John 7:26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

Acts 28:31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

KJV: all confidence, no man forbidding him
The Hellenes were a free people who wanted to freely share their knowledge with the world in a document originally called “The Holy Scripture” (Η Αγία Γραφή: learn more here & here).
Speaking of Free Speech (or lack thereof).
In Australia during 2023, concerted efforts were made to either change laws, or create new ones, that would have served to stifle freedom of speech (amongst other things). They failed because people voiced their opposition to them.
The one thing I have found pleasantly surprising is that people are waking up at far speedier rates than I had previously anticipated. It seems that they are not willing to take shit from anyone anymore. Of course, I am not referring to violence, or the committing of any type of crime: I am referring to protests, the creation of new jobs, businesses, relationships, etc., that respect who they are and what they are worth. Beyond this, I am referring to truth leaking out in ways that were once impossible. This is because the modes by which to do it did not exist, or people were too afraid to do so.
This phenomenon does not surprise me since this is how things work: there are physical (Natural) laws that govern the earthly realm. One of these is the Law of Balance (Karma) which requires that the experience of too much of one thing necessitates the opposite experience in order to create equilibrium. When darkness (evil) rises, then the Light will also rise and it will overpower it; when lies are told in excess, the truth will find greater and more ingenious ways to surface; when oppression has been the order of the day every day for millennia, then freedom will reign for an equal, if not greater, amount of time.
Higher Cosmic Forces determine how and when Balance has been restored.
